Live Music: “Mbeewan and the Chi’n'i Band” – The Final Reggae Show!

Mbeewan and the Chi'n'i Band

Join us for Mbeewan’s final show of the Summer before Moussa returns to France!

Mbeewan (Moussa Boudra), a multi-instrumentalist and composer-songwriter for more than 10 years, is the lead singer of iRieTEAM, a French Nu-Roots Reggae band created 5 years ago, and whose first album will be released in 2009.

Reggae, rock, dub, rap and soul are the main influences which guide Mbeewan’s music. The rhythms go from ska to ragga-dancehall, but always keep a dominant reggae-roots touch, which make it a very distinctive and hardly definable reggae.

Mbeewan played with a lot of famous French bands such as:
Dub Incorporation, Aswad, Israel Vibration, Alpha Blondy, Dobacaracol, Bawa, Abdou Day, Kaly Live Dub, Ministère des Affaires Populaires, Kana, Les Wampas, Les Caméléons, Riké, Raspigaous, K2R Riddim, Killa Karltoon…

The Redbucks

Hailing from East to West, North to South, the Redbucks are Beijing’s most notorious and rowdy group of American Bluegrass musicians, and a sibling act to the The Moonshine Apothecary.  Their robust and tender sound brings to mind the speed and force of a freight train combined with the sweetness of two lovers picnicking in a cherry orchard on spring afternoon.  Hot licks, sweet harmonies, hootin’, hollerin’, stompin’, clappin’, and the good ole’ times…

Check out their MySpace page here: www.myspace.com/theredbucks

Free Entry before 9:30pm. 20 RMB after.
