Live Music: “Bill Zorn” – Beautiful acoustic guitar with finger-picking wizardry

Bill ZornBorn in Jesup, Georgia, U.S.A. in 1953, Bill Zorn’s life has revolved around art; the visual arts, music, and the art of medicine. Trained as a physician at Tulane School of Medicine, Zorn left school at age 15 to play rock and roll in nightclubs. He had a detour from music first leading to degrees in chemistry and medicine, and practiced emergency medicine. In 1993 he left medicine to pursue fine art photography, and has been published and exhibited worldwide. His interest and study of music has been the constant of his life. Since moving to Beijing last year, he has been writing, performing and recording music for acoustic and electric guitar. He recently recorded and performed with Duo Wei, and is working with other Chinese musicians on traditional instruments.

Bill plays beautiful acoustic guitar with a masterful guitar-picking style reminiscent of Tommy Emmanuel.
